From meeting everyone for oysters at the iconic Sydney Opera Bar to the secluded Delwood Beach ceremony, this wedding weekend highlighted Christina & Malik's favorite places and experiences in Sydney.

The When and Where

-Christina & Malik

It's a special and difficult thing as a creative to be on the other side of the camera. To have such a vision and opinion on what you want and also the desire to completely let go of everything in the moment so you can be totally there.

What a gift.

Jess gave that to us.

Guests were invited for a casual beach day in lieu of a welcome party. C & M jumped in the chilly water for some snorkling time.

The wedding day itself reflected what they love about the city — it's bustling culture and appreciation for art and food as well as it's deep respect for the natural world and the ocean. The bride is a competitive free diver, and you'll notice the oceanic touches throughout the celebration.

After a private ferry ride back to Sydney Harbour, the couple treated their guests to an unbelievable multi-course tasting menu meal at their favorite restaurant in the city, Esteban — complete with mezcal tastings and countless warm words shared.

Since they could only celebrate with their closest family & friends in Sydney, they opted to host a second celebration at Christina's family estate in Carmel, CA the following Summer.

The When and Where

Guests were welcomed with fresh oysters and champagne (a nod to their Sydney wedding) before parading down to the beach from the family property in downtown Carmel.

A lively and rogue floral installation was dropped into the sand by the bridesmaids and the couple shared their first dance on the sand.

After a quick dress change for Christina, they headed back to the house for dinner and dancing ... and special surprise appearance of Malik's college band.

In true mermaid-core fashion, the last song of the night was "Kiss the Girl" from the Little Mermaid which the guests sang at the top of their lungs while Christina & Malik took in every blissful moment together.
